TCQAA is pleased to present a 2 day training event for members as well as guests:  Scaled Agile Framework - for Teams!

Build the skills needed to become a high-performing team member of an Agile Release Train (ART)—and learn how to collaborate effectively with other teams—by becoming a SAFe® 4 Practitioner (SP).

Invite the whole team to join you - for a group training that will transform the way you work together!

During this two-day course, attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the ART, how it delivers value, and what they can do to effectively perform their role using Scrum, Kanban, and XP.

They will also learn how to write stories and break down features, plan and execute iterations, and plan Program Increments. Finally, they’ll learn about the continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, how to effectively integrate with other teams in the program, and what it takes to continuously improve the train.

The following individuals will benefit from this course:

  • Team members who apply Lean and Agile at scale
  • All members of an Agile Release Train preparing for launch

Learning Goals

To perform the role of a SAFe® Practitioner, attendees should be able to:

  • Apply SAFe to scale Lean and Agile development in their enterprise
  • Know their team and its role on the Agile Release Train
  • Know all other teams on the train, their roles, and the dependencies between the teams
  • Plan Iterations
  • Execute Iterations and demonstrate value
  • Plan Program Increments
  • Integrate and work with other teams on the train

All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® Practitioner (SP) certification exam:

  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and principles
  • Awareness of Scrum, Kanban, and XP
  • Working knowledge of software and hardware development processes

SAFe Certification Kit

Attendees who pass the certification exam will receive:

  • SAFe Practitioner certificate
  • A SAFe 4 Practitioner digital badge to promote your accomplishment online
  • A one-year certified membership as a SAFe Practitioner, which includes access to the SP Community of Practice
  • A SAFe Practitioner certification usage guide with SP certification marks
  • Access to a variety of learning resources to support certified professionals during their SAFe journey

Daily Schedule

  • 7:30 to 8:00 (Breakfast and Networking)
  • 8:00 to 12:00 (Morning session with one break in between)
  • 12:00 to 1:00 (Lunch)
  • 1:00 to 5:00 (Afternoon session with one break in between)

About the Instructor

Siva Jasthi, Ph.D.

SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

Trainer, Faculty Member, Consultant, Mentor and Author

Siva Jasthi has 25 years of experience in multiple disciplines of research, software development, mentoring, training, managing teams, auditing, agile processes, teaching and volunteering for non profits. He has over 25 years of experience in PLM industry in managing the software development and delivery in several technical and managerial roles. He is currently serving as Consultant at Siemens PLM Software Inc. He is a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) from Scaled Agile Inc . and delivers SAFe training. He is serving as Release Train Engineer (RTE) for one of the Agile Release Trains in the organization. He is also one of the members of Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) which is primarily responsible for the adoption, implementation, and evolution of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe ). He is a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) from American Society of Quality (ASQ) and performs internal audits in the organization as Lead Auditor. He also teaches at Metropolitan State University as Community Faculty teaching courses in Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming and Design, Software Design Models, Internet Application Development, and Software Engineering.
