Responsible for overseeing/managing the software test function for Spok’s installed product lines including test infrastructure, processes and employees/contractors. Builds teamwork and collaboration with product and development team resources in an Agile environment (development, DevOps, documentation and product management) to streamline and improve the effectiveness of software testing. Oversees the development and implementation of test strategies, test plans to verify functionality and interoperability; promotes the identification and development of technical skill requirements and competencies to ensure release readiness for customer delivery. Collaborates effectively with Product Management, Professional Services, Tech Support and Sales staff to understand customer needs; assists in communicating requirements to developers including contractors. Reports to the Director of Development for Care Connect Suite.

May manage up to 5 team members, and up to 5 contractors, as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or related field required and 6+ years of related experience; or 4+ years’ related experience and/or training with a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
