    The Requirements

    A Lead Consultant in our Quality Engineering Practice is responsible for leading quality and testing projects of significant size and complexity for clients. This includes tasks such as defining the quality approach, technically testing the approach, estimation, process development, and showing value to assigned clients through quality and testing services. This position is responsible for defining and establishing QE metrics and reports in line with internal guidelines. Lead Consultants work directly with the project manager and the client to ensure client expectations are met. This leadership position participates in ongoing internal training, provides sales support, provides consulting services to clients, and supports staffing tasks. The Lead Quality Engineer's work closely with QE Management. 

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Provide guidance and best practices to help the team adopt and mature its Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) processes

    Define team roles and responsibilities to foster a cohesive ATDD team

    Provide on-demand support when facing issues with testing and ATDD processes

    Work closely with Product Owner, Business Analyst, and Development to create acceptance criteria

    Build out test reporting and metrics, creating traceability of structured tests to user stories

    Be consultative and deliver process improvements across teams

    Experience with test management with Azure DevOps

    Execute tests (Manual and Automated)

    Create and maintain the project quality plan and project test plan

    Provide guidance to the project team to meet quality objectives

    Perform going self-based training in the upcoming technology, quality approaches, and testing techniques

    Participate in ongoing QE group management which can include training, recruiting, staffing, and career planning activities 

    Provide support for sales proposal developments and presentations

    Ability to effectively communicate and set the direction with clients

    Assist in implementation of new testing approaches or new technology, under the direction of the Principal QE and Practice Lead

    Qualifications - Education & Experience

    Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer or business related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent experience

    7+ years of related work experience in one or more testing areas (Quality, Test Engineering, Test Automation, Performance Testing, and Mobile Testing)

    Ability to Code and write scripts at the database level and API

    Working knowledge of multiple testing tools and technical testing approaches and different SDLC's

    Experience in programming languages such as C# and Java

    Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns, Microservices, and other architectures

    Experience with IBM Rational Functional Tester

    Experience with Test Data Management
